Network troubleshooting often involves determining the IP Address you are using.
There are several ways you can check your IP address.
The easiest way to get your external IP address is to use the link:
If you need more information
On a Windows PC:
Start>Run cmd [enter]
This brings up the cmd prompt. Now
ipconfig /? for help
ipconfig /all > c:ipconfig.txt
This will take the results of the IPCONFIG query and put it in a text file
you can read with Notepad or send to others via email, if necessary.
On the Mac:
Launch Network Utility in your Applications folder.
Choose the network interface you are using en0 (wired) or en1 (wireless).
The IP Address is listed with lots of other network information.
